How much can I bake this week? Christmas vacation means baking. I was getting bored of all the sweet stuff, so I wanted to do something a little more savory. Luck should have it, the back of my GF King Arthur Baking Mix had just the recipe. It was called Savory Biscuits. Simple ingredients: Baking Mix, Cheese, Bacon, Scallions, Eggs and Heavy Cream. All my favorite things. (Please note that this time of year I do not worry about calories too much. Just taste)
I am not going to write out the recipe, but rather link to King Arthur’s site. They have it up there with all the directions. I did nothing different to the recipe except I added a few different cheese to get the the desired amount. I also added some garlic powder. I also used the pre cooked bacon. Easy!

I have tried biscuits a few times in the past 3 years, but these were the only ones I would try again. They were pretty darn good. They were fluffy and had a lot of flavor. They were also very filling. I ate 2 of them and I was done with eating for the night. Probably a good thing since they are very calorie dense.
